This year, businesses and individuals alike coped with ongoing challenges from the COVID-19 pandemic, climate change and the Great Resignation. Yet amid the digital fatigue and heightened stress, thousands of individuals stepped up to contribute to a common goal: producing reliable insight on IT and business trends. As 2021 draws to a close, let’s take stock of all that the 451 Alliance members have accomplished together.
451 Alliance members donated their time and attention by taking online surveys about how they are facing today’s technical and organizational challenges. Their collective contributions resulted in successful execution of 53 separate research studies this year – that’s more than one per week! Topics included:
- Information Security
- Cloud, Hosting and Managed Services
- Data Storage
- Data Analytics
- Datacenter Technology
- Hyperconverged Infrastructure
- Consumer Spending
- Workforce Transformation
- Customer Experience & Commerce
- And more
Our In-Depth Interviews (IDIs) form the qualitative side of 451 Alliance research. Members spoke on the phone with our research analysts to share their experience, adding a human perspective to the sea of data.
In 2021, a total of 197 IDIs were conducted with members. Their input went into the publication of 33 studies.
As always, we share the research results with members in exchange for their participation. Those results came in the form of research reports, live webinars with analysts, member digests and blog posts. Supplemental research results were also shared with members via curated newsletters such as our MacroEmerging Update newsletter and Alliance Market Insight.
In 2021, we published:
- 88 research reports
- 90 blog posts
- 15 member digests
- 71 MacroEmerging Update articles
- 132 Alliance Market Insight articles
And we held 11 hour-long webinars with 451 Research analysts.
Here’s a look at those accomplishments in a shareable graphic:
To all Alliance members: congratulations on a prolific year, despite the odds.
