Mark Ehr is a principal research analyst at 451 Research from S&P Global Energy Horizons, focused on cloud security, security operations and AI within the 451 Research information security practice. He has more than 20 years of cybersecurity experience, a decade in software development and many years working in product marketing, product management and sales enablement.​ During his time with 451 Research, Mark has delivered numerous go-to-market and research projects, contributing to the 451 Research platform in areas including cloud-native application protection platforms (CNAPPs), security information and event management (SIEM), AI security and extended detection and response (XDR). Client deliverables include research studies, briefs, reports and speaking engagements.​ Before joining S&P Global in 2022, Mark spent 13 years at IBM, including three years in endpoint management product marketing, four years in QRadar SIEM product management, and six years as a security sales enablement leader across IBM’s $1 billion threat management product family. Mark holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Metropolitan State University of Denver and is an ISC(2) Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
