During December and January, a series of announcements emerged within the realm of workforce tools, primarily highlighting AI assistants and agents. Concurrently, there has been notable progress around visual collaboration tools, accompanied by significant updates from digital workspace providers. In the first of this two-part blog post series, we shared a roundup of latest products and developments, focusing specifically in the areas of project, portfolio and work management, and digital workspaces. In the second part of this blog post series, we’ll share workforce analytics and other workforce technology developments.
Workforce analytics and AI platforms
Visier has introduced a limited release of an AI platform designed for HR and IT teams to create agents that analyze workforce data. Unlike traditional workflow automation tools, Visier focuses on data extraction and transformation for better understanding by large language models (LLMs). Use cases include agents that analyze employee performance, assist talent teams with resume screening, and support sales teams in evaluating outcomes.
Additionally, Visier has partnered with PeopleSpheres to integrate its analytics and AI capabilities into their HR tools. It also collaborates with French startup Le Lab RH, allowing member companies to utilize Visier’s People Analytics Development Platform for enhanced data management in their applications.
In January, ActivTrak reported exceeding $50 million in annual recurring revenue, with a 70% year-on-year growth in enterprise deals, aiding organizations in workforce compliance, productivity management, and planning analytics.
Lightcast has teamed up with Guild to incorporate its Open Skills Taxonomy into Guild’s offerings, providing insights into employee skills for informed training investments. This taxonomy is based on extensive job market data, detailing over 32,000 skills.
Other workforce technology developments
Scoro has released a Gmail add-on enabling users to convert emails into tasks, link them to projects, track time spent, and import email threads for context.
Zoho has enhanced its AI platform, Zia, with new features including Zia Agents, Agent Studio, and Agent Marketplace, allowing enterprises to utilize prebuilt agents and create custom ones.
Aha! has launched various new features, including improved stakeholder interaction with shared data, Gantt charts in whiteboards, and a Chrome extension for documentation import. Its Aha! Ideas platform now facilitates better communication among community members, while a new AI assistant can generate wireframes and summarize content.
ServiceNow has rolled out new capabilities for its AI Agents, featuring thousands of prebuilt agents, an AI Agent Studio for customization, and an orchestrator for team coordination. These features will be available on the Now Platform in March at no extra cost for existing Pro Plus and Enterprise Plus customers.
A new integration with Oracle Corp. is anticipated in the latter half of the year, enhancing Workflow Data Fabric for agentic AI processes through real-time, bi-directional data exchange with Oracle’s databases.
